The first year for the AMC Rambler Marlin. Based on the Rambler Classic intermediate class car. originally designed to be a Rambler American. This car really might have taken off if it had been on the smaller car.....it could have been a great alternative to the Mustang. Joe Sirola provides the voice over for this spot

  • Does anyone recognize the voice of the spokesman in these old Rambler commercials? It sounds to me like David Janssen.

  • @OldcarsNmusic I love David Janssen from the Fugitive and O'Hara US Treasury....and Harry O....TV shows.....I don't think this is him......maybe a similiar voice....

  • The Rambler Classic actually outsold the Ford Fairlane in 1965. But I think that was the last and only year that it did.

  • @OsbornTramain It IS the voiceover artist for Wendy's and Boar's Head! His name is Joe Sirola- still alive and well.

  • @OsbornTramain You think it might be the guy who did voiceovers for Wendy's TV and Boar's Head radio commercials?

  • In 1966, Fairlane went to dual reservoir master cylinders. And optional disc brakes. But they still stopped like crap. No different than most US cars of the period.
