Honoring Street Fighter 4, I bring you a series of epic battles from past Capcom titles and other games influenced by Street Fighter. This is "Final Fight Guy" (1994, Capcom), another new title in the Final Fight franchise. Or is it? 1994? This game was released in Japan back in 1992. So what's the deal? Well you see, a video game company wouldn't be legit if they didn't have any screw ups here and there. When FF 1 came out for arcades, you can select three different characters. Haggar, Cody, and Guy. But when they released ports of FF to consoles such as SNES, the cartridge supposedly didn't have enough space to fit Guy in, which is fucked up since he's one of the main characters. So what did Capcom do? They released ANOTHER version called "Final Fight Guy", this time with Guy replacing Cody. In the U.S., the game was only available on rent through Blockbuster. Makes sense, since who the fuck would waste their money on buying the same damn game with one different character? The SNES ports were truly fucked up though. For example, "Thrasher" is the first boss in this game. His original, arcade name was "Damnd", but those overcautious pussies at Nintendo thought it was too vulgar for US audiences. Then they did the same shit with another boss called "Sodom". They changed him into "Katana". There was also two hookers in the original game called "Roxy" and "Poison", and whenever they got hit, you can see half of their titties. But they were entirely replaced with two dudes named Billy and Sid. I mean this is part of the reason why I can't stand Nintendo. They fucking walk the Mickey Mouse path and pretend like violence, sex, and drugs don't fucking exist. Give me a fucking break.....
