I try to avoid corn syrup, MSG and all preservatives, etc. if I can. I try to purchases Organics when I can as well. I could not do this shopping at my local store and be able to feed my family the same quality. Not at the same price.
Buying in bulk at times means I have to split it up and re-seal it. But it;s worth it.
I don't care whether you have a family or live alone. These warehouse stores can help you save money and prep.

  • Hey dude, this vid you went way too fast cannot even see the product name you speed rite to price, price of what?

  • @patriotusa200 I know this is WAY to technical for some folks, but try using your pause button if you want to see a price. It's easier tha you think. Had I showed every price in real time the video would have been way to long. THINK IT THROUGH.

  • Could you clue me in for your reasons on avoiding corn syrup ? Thank you for the vids . We enjoy your information and inspiration .

  • @TexasPreppersNetwork I want to say first, that this information is disputed. But I have looked at it and "believe" at this point that corn syrup is not good for the human in large amounts. The rise of obesity and Diabetes occurred with the wide spread use of corn syrup in replacing real sugar. Corn syrup is not easily digested and processed by our bodies. It contributes to all kinds of health issues.

  • @Yankeeprepper , Thanks for the info . I researched it briefly and I had no idea about the effects of HFCS and the debate over the added health risks caused by its (way) OVERUSE in processed foods .

After watching this video , but before reading your reply , my wife and I went shopping and started looking at the ingredients of many items . it is amazing how much of what we consume contains corn syrup . WOW .

Again , Great info and thanks for the heads up . Much appreciated .

  • @TexasPreppersNetwork I tell you what buddy, I know what you mean! It's really hard to get away from and when you do it costs you more. If you want to eat well, the charge you for it.

  • Your Costco is quiet. Mine is SHTF.

  • You are in you project SUV.. good for you.

  • corn syrup? How do you get corn to turn into syrup? I'll stick with Sugar, Honey, etc. Why they put corn into all of our foods is.....government subsidies. Thanks for the vid YP... Those that want CS and GMO corn stuff should buy it? That way there will be less resistance for us in the SHTF. Oh yeah God made sugar and honey...the "man" created corn syrup, you pick who you trust! YP in 2012!

  • I can only say one thing Thank You

  • Unless food cost has tripled or quadrupled (and in some cases, doubled ten-fold), you are still, despite the economic situation, getting away with food very VERY very cheap in the US. I envy you guys SO much for stores like Sam's, Costco, Sav-A-Center, and so on. Chicken breast at $1.97/Lb?! Turkey even cheaper!! We pay $9.38/Lb - on sale! Regular price is $15.47.

Canned salmon is so expensive they don't even sell it here in Sweden, and wow, 25 and 50 Lb sacks of rice and grains! I envy you :)

  • Thanks for the look inside Costco's. In a few days, when my Card arrives, I'm going Shopping...

  • Thanks for the vid-good job!

  • Looks like there's a dearth of organic stuff. The word organic was always crossed out.

Funny thing, I was 'allergic' to fructose for about a year. Don't know what brought on the sudden fructose intolerance, and it's faded now. But I couldn't eat cakes or cookies, even APPLES went straight through me. I never even ate sweets regularly to begin with!
