SARASOTA COUNTY/NEW VOTING SYSTEM:"Kathy Dent has Pneumonia"

JUNE 6, 2007--With little time left, Sarasota Commissioners determine which new voting system to implement for 2008 after ES&S's iVotronic voting machines produced an 18,412 undervote in the
November 2006 Election...

Sarasota Supervisor of Elections, Kathy Dent, was a no show to give her vendor/ system analysis and recommendations to the panel due to pneumonia.

Instead, she sent her envoy, Scott Farrington, to address the Board without all the appropriate paperwork--only a summation of cost--which was also weird, the Commissioners noted. The price for ES&S was significantly lower than Diebold it seemed obvious to all they were being "encouraged" and "pointed" towards ES&S. There were many questions for poor Scott Farrington about why that was, and he struggled to answer them.

Also important to note, Dent didn't actually RECOMMEND anyone!...
