Sandi Thom has bombarded the media and the public's ears with her own special brand of solo vocal girl-pop. However, beneath the veneer of her oh-so-amusing lyrics contains a dark lust of recidivism and a wish to return to a darker, less enlightened time. Having exposed this, I'm sure Thom will admit to being a Tory, and sing at their next conference. Oh yes.

you do know that unemployment is at a record high now right? and that is probably more miserable in 2009 then in 77 or 69'. shes just singing that she wishes that she was back in the good times back then than in the terrible time that the world faces now.

Now you've made me look at your other stuff! So, as one pedant [who's keen on getting facts right] to another, The summer of love wasn't '64 it was '67. Scott McKenzie released 'San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair)' the same year. Revolution WAS in the air throughout the period even though the Paris riots took place in '68. and there was a lot of good shit about. But then you had to be there to enjoy it:-) Sandi Thom is kinda tasty and only trying to make a buck... and succeeding
