Festival of H.H SHEIKH MANSOOR BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN - DAX - Arabian Flat Horse Racing in Europe

The inaugural Festival of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Arabian flat horse racing in Europe has become the focus of attention wherever it is being held.

The idea of holding the festival exclusively featuring Purebred Arabian horse, is originated with the initiative and instructions from HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential affairs whose noble intention is to boost these horses in major European countries through a four-race series commemorating the Zayed the Firsts centenary year (1909-2009).

Purebred Arabian horses are part of UAEs Culture and heritage and they have been constantly successful at prestigious meetings in many parts of the world.

As a test of speed and stamina, flat racing can be very demanding on the horses and this is where the breed is actually trying to prove. Arabian purebred horse can excel in this sort of environment and the main aim of the festival is to raise global awareness of this aspect among the true lovers of this sport.

This has been a great initiative by HH Sheikh Mansoor and all thanks to his excellent support for the sport of endurance.

Sports in general and equestrian sport in particular receives unlimited support and encouragement from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who have been putting efforts to raise the profile of Purebred Arabians horses and their racing abilities

Through their constant encouragement the Emirates is able to proudly take its stand among the advanced nations in the equestrian field and this festival is another campaign in the right direction as the equestrian sport is very close to the heart of the UAEs culture.

Apart from supporting the Purebred Arabian horses in Holland, France (two races) and Germany, it helped the host countries to understand Emirates better. The races are growing in popularity, besides establishing a strong presence in this part of the world , dispelling myth that Arabian horses are not suited to flat racing.

The growing popularity of the Arabian flat horse racing in this part of the world is the result of continuous effort of all the parties involved including sponsors.

The Zayed festvai series is being supported by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, the Breeding Sables of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, based in Normandy, France, Sorouh Real Estate, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, IAL Art Logistics and Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.

Undoubtedly, the Zayed festival series is vital in promoting Arabian racing.
