@briantravelman Most of the music for this album had been written before Ian Gillan rejoined, so in a way you are right.
-
I was just wondering thast myself!
-
So how is that battle for the information domain coming?
-
@akibubba1 Soo true man..
-
Man what is this? This doesn't sounds like Deep Purple. Well the singing does, but the music doesnt.
-
Are they using a phrygian dominant scale in this riff 2:20 ?
-
@LordGoumis err no. this riff was taken from Fire Dance Rainbow, it's dropped D tuning
-
I think this is the only song that Blackmore played with dropped D tuning. Great riff.
-
I`m not much of a fan of DP, but the riff here is BRILLIANT.

Old school metal? This is True Rock, plain and simple!

annihilation, kill 'em all--capitulation, watch the mighty fall ! - nice and catchy, and the best melody within one of the last true metal songs ever penned - when "they"(pretty much anybody) start writing them like this again, I'll start listening to newer music - 'til that time, the cutoff date remains early 90's (and, of course, 60's to 80's remains the best of the best...)
