@Learjetjock 757s range is 3900 nautical miles, average flight between london / newark is 3015 nautical miles, however need add weather and ATC NYs, which has issues, i do agree about other hubs ie, barcelona, and maybe berlin, but hey, those continental pilots can always drop into halifax and fill up, dont forget the credit card.....

Summed up perfectly... I can't agree any more!!

I can't agree with you any more!!

@CaptHog Sounds like you know much about planes mite!!

@yoyoluc yeah, i guess. People from the U.S. only go to Venezuela for buisness. I guess its the europeans who go there for holidays. Oh well.

@KirkHammettable You must realize that a flight from JFK-CCS may not get enough passengers to completely fill a 767 so the 757 is used. 757s on transatlantic flights are pretty comfortable actually. Service is more personal and Continental now has AVOD on their 757s. Plus JFk-CCS is not transatlantic lol.

i go to newark like 2 times a year. it is ok i also go on continental and they have good service but a ton of delays i hate that
757's to and from Europe is a damnation as far as I am concerned. Continental due to their obsession with flying narrow body mid range jets on routes they were not designed for creates alot of flow issues in the NY area because you constantly hear crews declaring "min fuel" by the time they check in with NY app. It screws the rest of us over.

During the winter months they use the 767-200. My folks were supposed to come visit here in Berlin for xmas, but the plane was overbooked a month in advance, no matter which day you choose.

WTF IS UP ON 6:08 ???
TheHacker178 2 years ago
Relax, nothing is wrong at 6:08. It was an engine oil burnout in the maintenance hangar. The engine was on a stand, and not a jet.

I forgot to mention that the reason I know this, is because my friend is a Mechanic with Continental, and he was one of the workers on that engine.

What the hell is that sound, it was on my flight back from vegas when we were landing at Newark, it just kept sounding over and over lol

The noise you hear right at the start of the video, and every so often you hear it again (a higher pitch noise that doesn't last too long) is the flaps/slats motor.
