are you using win7? I am on win7 and have 2 gtx 8800, when i had sli or even just having both cards in made the second card overheat, well at least it was super hot, after a while win7 stopped booting up until a extracted the second card, i been through alot with tech support and they gave me a driver that kept system stable however the card remained hot78 degrees, any help would be nice, as in what you are using. Thanks.

Moving cubes -- but why not moving cars? Make a video showing traffic moving in this city.

The paper is called "Real-Time KD-Tree Construction on Graphics Hardware", but there's a video which is more impressive. If this stuff interests you, you should also check the Youtube channel of "kwanmacher".

After that im still hoping the Intel card will be quite cheaper though (since now i read it seems to be based on the same tech Larrabee used: upgraded pentium1 cores, which could make it really cheap).

Going to look at Kung Zhou's stackless kdtree... I will probably not understand much of it (im more on the artistic side of things), but i like to try to keep up to date with new developments

    Agreed.

btw, I'm sure you can do photon mapping and irradiance caching on the GPU as well, Kun Zhou did it in 2008 with a stackless kdtree
