  • I recently got a new duck because my old one had passed away. This new duck doesnt like to be touched. I spend about 20-25 minites with her everyday and handfeed her tomatoes but thats as close as she gets whenever i try to touch her she freaks and runs she wont even step to close she has a very happy envirment outside and is a only duck, which is sad. But, how can I get her to not be afraid of me and make her let me pet her. Every time I even try and catch her she runs. But she does follow me.

  • @berrykari

If she doesn't want to be handled, don't handle her. Every duck is unique. They don't all like to be held. She could really use a friend though. Ducks are flock animals - they need friends.

  • weow love her , i shall steal her from u , ur warned.

  • @sphinxofthenewage No way, jose. Flappy pants is all mine. And he's a boy. He's 6 1/2 years old now and unfortunately has pretty bad arthritis in his knees. But he's still my baby, and I'd chop you off at the knees if you came anywhere near him. "ur warned." :)

  • @tifotter Eh what are the laws for having pet ducks? I want one so baddd :P

  • @sgknexmaker The laws vary from city to city. I recommend everyone read the "want a pet duck?" list on Flapper's website before consdering a pet duck.

  • What a character! :¬D

  • @berrykari It helps to get them as hatchlings. When the bond to you they are better than dogs and that's saying a lot because I love dogs.

  • This is what my duck is going to look like when shes a little older.

  • i was expecting an AFLAC! noise

  • awhhhh

  • I love ducks! Adorable video!

  • @berrykari

If the duck follows you , than you have a great bond started, she needs a mate though. The secret is to never push yourself upon an animal, let them decide what attention they enjoy. Some don't enjoy any attention other than food.

  • I would rather have a duck anyday over a cat. Cats are nasty, ducks are cute.

  • watch out for cats, man

  • What a cutie pie. I am sending you a video of my kid who is a call duck who loves water too.
