A very beautiful song written by Yoko Ono from the album "Season Of Glass" in 1981.

In 1981, Yoko Ono records this album a few months after the death of her husband John Lennon.

"Silver Horse" (by Ono):

When I come in my dream
To a house I've never seen before
I have a tendency to look for the exit door
Cause I never know it maybe that house again
I never know, I never know

When I come in my mind
To a stream thats running gently
I have a tendency to run like a frightened deer
Cause I never know it may take me to that ocean again
I never know, I never know

I usually stay away from being carried away
But one day I saw a silver horse
I though he might take me to that somewhere high
I thought he might take me to that deep blue sky

I came to realize that the horse had no wings
"no wings, well, it wasnt so bad, you know"

I learnt to travel the world around
And run on the ground in the morning
And thats the story of a wandering soul
A story of a dreamer

  • I really do not know much about her but what people say, and i think it is very unfair to judge her. I think this is a beautiful song. And I can only imagine how hard it was for her to loose the love of her life. I hope she is now happy. I think people need to give her more credit! misterfabdu93 thank you for downloading this song, and letting me know such a wonderful artists and woman!

  • i love you yoko for writing this beautiful song......

  • I think she sings so bad

  • John Lennon's love for Yoko and his faith in her art are completely vindicated by this amazing album. Not that it needed to be, but to all the hard-hearted naysayers and Yoko bashers I say, if John heard this album he would be in awe.

  • Paul Simon & his son Harper just covered this at Yoko's Plastic Ono Band Concert in NYC Feb. '10.

  • I haven't read all the comments here, but as far as I can see at first glance nobody's mentioned Harry Nilsson's version of this song. That's something you must hear... Harry gives it a nice tipsy waltz treatment....

  • one of my favourtie albums of all time and this the best song on it! Love Love Love!

  • Beatiful, this song! Yoko is the greatest love of John. I like her very much.

  • This song is realy Beautiful... the story of a wandering soul...

Thank you misterfabdu93 for all Yoko songs!
