  • hitec sucks

  • @hillbillykid1 In what sense? Nobody is trying to claim it's a 'serious' or 'enthusiast' level product, but it's entirely adequate for the money.

  • question, did you have to buy controll + servos + reciever?, im wanting to buy 1 today but i dont know if i need other things

  • @moralllo The SS kit comes with a lage scale metal geared steering servo. All other radio related components you'll need to buy, i.e. transmitter, throttle servo, receiver, battery pack and failsafe. After that you've got paint, fuel and oil to buy.

  • That amount of time is NOTHING compared to the more than 300 HOURS of time I've spent building my LT-40 this year. I don't mean to brag but this would only be fun for a day to build, so i like bigger projects. I've been looking to get into rc cars but they are all so pre-assembled. Anyway, great vid and series.

  • Unless you're going to scratch build a scale RC car then you'll never find one that'll take longer to build that this one did.

At the same time, Tamiya do many tanks that a builder *could* build in a few days, yet someone else might spend months detailing exactly the same model.

  • @theberengersniper ok ty, got myself a spektrum controll and i orderd my self a Baja 5B SS ^^ should be her tomoz CANT WAIT !

  • Hey dude, I would say yes, it is worth it. If you're like me and you've spent years building Tamiya kits or similar then this is a whole new level. Much more involved and everything's so much bigger! You get the satisfaction if you build it, plus you know how to fix it.

  • Hey is the building process worth the $300 differance? Does it seem so much better having made then bought ready to run? Thanks man i am trying to decide

  • $999.99 for the rtr nd i think $759.99 for the ss kit
