With the 4th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaching I thought I would upload this short clip from a great dvd produced in 2005 by the City of Biloxi titled...Katrina & Biloxi A Story of Resolve & Resilience...Which show the effects of the storm during that horrible morning of Aug. 29, 2005....unfortunately due to copyright issues this is all I am allowed to upload...but if anyone would like to recieve a copy of the whole dvd and 52 page companion photo album for only $20 you can go to this website, http://biloxi.ms.us/katrina_and_Biloxi/DVD_Album.html
I highly recommend it..It's a very well put together dvd and the pictures in the photo album are amazing!! It shows the devestion that we had to endure along the Mississippi Coast!!

  • I don't live on the gulf, but it is like a home to me. I went down to St. Bernard Parish to help with the habitat for humanity rebuilding process. Simply amazing. There's no way these videos can describe how amazing and powerful these storms are until you are either in it or see it afterwards.

Yes, I may not live on the gulf, but Katrina was my storm, too.

  • I lived on Lameuse St in Biloxi Ms, when Katrina hit and I still am deeply affected by it!!!

  • yeah, I was living in Biloxi when Katrina hit. Surprisingly, everything survived where I was.

  • I lived it. I'm a Biloxian. I was 16 at the time. I'll never forget it. It's like it happened yesterday. I was in Latimer when it actually hit. But right after Katrina had blown threw We were in town. Traffic was insane. When we got back in downtown Biloxi to see what had happened to the house. There was nothing there. I lost everything. My whole life was disrupted. And Oddly I didn't even cry when I seen I'd lost everything. It was surreal...

  • Me and two other guys just put up a little tikes playground in Oriley park in biloxi and I found sea shells in the park... its like atleast half mile away... crazy... glad I live in mo... let me know if anyone sees the playground what they think

  • I know it got alot of hype, but the damage and aftermath was breath taking. I was without power for two weeks, and out of school for another two. I cried when my mom took us for a drive on Hwy. 90. The beach was swallowed by the ocean and the highway was just obliterated. The President Casino flew over the highway and landed on the Holiday Inn. We were so blessed to have minimal damage. To this day my church still has a flood of volunteers to help with relief work. Thank you to everyone.

  • The music is beautiful. Does anyone know the title?
