I don't think they are made of anything else, although I could be wrong. I think the biggest thing is the molecular shape. The best person you can look for to do with this is Michio Kaku, maybe even try Richard Muller or maybe Brian Cox.
Their are many scources you can look for, take care and let me know how it goes.
