You know your music...I've never heard of that drum. I'm not so familiar with a lot of African music...but the djembe thing has opened my ears to it.
I like to play djembe within my conga set now. Most conga players are against djembe because a lot of djembe players in the U.S. are pretty bad. Of course I'm not speaking for everyone..this clip is good.

I don't know what a bugaraboo is...I was playing a tumba ( a bass conga drum )

A bugaraboo is a drum played by jola people in Senegal and Gambia. It was actually influenced by the conga (Cuban music has had a really strong influence on Senegambian music). It sounds very like the conga, although it has a bass sound in the middle like a djembe. Check out Seckouba Bajdie (might have the spelling wrong)! I liked the grooves!
