This is the very reason I cannot and will not watch Bert Case until this very day. He hounded Kirk Fordice to death but when Ronnie Musgrove did the same thing (even got divorced while in office) and even worse, Bert never said a word to him.

This was a Governor who signed an executive order banning same-sex marriages in Mississippi in 1996. And his FINE example of respecting marriage was to cheat on his wife.

I love the part of the video showing him suggesting that Bill Clinton resign during his scandal. What a hyprocrate!

this brings back so many memories how news has changed over many years it is good to go back and laugh at some things! but this story was really interested at that time.

After Gov. Fordice left office the Clarion Ledger paper ran an editorial cartoon with a characture of Bert Case whistling while walking down the street with Gov. Fordice hiding behind a building holding a 2x4 with a nail in it. One the funniest cartoons I've seen. Old Kirk didn't take no mess from Bert. After this ran, he would look at reporters microphone to make sure it didn't say "TV 3" Funny stuff. Gotta love Kirk Fordice.

Why do you seek to embarrass a former governor like this? All the pertinent people - Gov. Fordice, Mrs. Fordice, and the girlfriend have all been gone for years. Are you proud of this ugly piece of tape? Bert Case, I have not been able to watch your newscasts since you did this, especially since you did not treat Ronnie Musgrove, who was equally as bad, the same as you treated Gov . Fordice.

@Cowboyboot1980 Not sure the extent of that, she was just a heck of a good woman, much better than the man. She died a year or two ago herself, which was a much sadder event.

Regarding the story, nice for WLBT to go pretty in-depth about extramarital relationships. Although I guess this was a time when cheating on your spouse had more implications and emotion. Unlike now, with Tiger Woods and the such.

No offense to anyone to anyone from ole miss but I've heard some interesting last names come from the state. Ballou,Bilbo(as in Theodore or baggins I suppose), Fordice(dont hear that one ever), Musgrove, etc... .

I read on Wikipedia Fordice's ex-wife was by his side when he passed. did they reconcile?
