Stephen Harper's Contempt for Canadian Democracy

While Stephen Harper misrepresents the Liberal-NDP Coalition, we need to remember that it was Stephen Harper's own extreme partisanship and dangerous ambition that put Canada and The Conservative party in the dangerous position it's in today.

Stephen Harper is an agents of change. The change is the general abolition of democracy. The problem for the Canadian people (whoever they are now...) is that this is generally the same agenda of the Liberal party. If this is not the kind Canada you and the majority of Canadians want, it doesn't matter and Stephen Harper, and the Canadian political class, don't give a tinker's damn what you want.

That IS Canadian democracy. The voters put those people in the room, and the people organize themselves into a government. Because no-one has a majority, it's perfectly legal for parties to attempt to cooperate, and a damned sight more democratic than a party that has less than 50% of the seats (and less than 38% of the popular vote) trying to dictate to the (currently split) majority.

The last election ISN'T OVER until a stable government has been formed.

Harper is a motral enemy of Liberal Democracy, he is the embodiment of authoritarian regime. Harper is really against and LGBT people and greens , he really would like to censure the Internet. Harper ''won'' due to election rigging(electoral fraud) Harper is a führer of ultra right-wing National Citizens Coalition-Nazi Party. Harper is pretty much the same tyrant as Gaddafi, Mubarak and Ben Ali and he has clear fascist overtones. Only indoctrinated minions and Neo-Nazis ,,voted'' for Harper.

@justanoldman1 Liberals be damned! Until now, unlike you, I have not called you any names. Now I will say that you are a war monger. You, like too many people these days, think its just fine to kill people to get what you want, make a point, or please our neighbors to the South. My parents lived and fought in WWII and they will tell you, without a second thought, that war is wrong. No two ways about it. But when it's necessary to defend yourself against aggression, it should not be done lightly.

@ujean56 What difference does it make who started it, our soldiers were sent in to fight by the liberals and they didn't even have uniforms for the desert or body protecting covers. The jeeps they where given to drive had no steel plating. That is the kind of thing the liberals did.

You are giving democracy and conservatives a bad name! If you think Harper has done anything for the military other than provide the rich kids with new toys, you need to take another look. There are Canadian soldiers back from Afghanistan who have nothing and live in the streets. But I guess these guys are cowards - right old man?

If you didn't vote for either the liberals or the conservatives than that makes you either an NDPer or a green nutbar.

I am a conservative and I don't have a party to vote for as we do not have a conservative party in Canada. The least of all evils is Prime Minister Harper. At least he has rebuilt our military and taken the shame away from our brave soldiers that used to have to hitchhike with other contries.

We all know the lies and deceptions of past Liberal governments - the Tories under Harper are as bad or worse! Anyway, this is now - not 1990! If you look carefully at either Conservative or Liberal policies over the past 30 years, you will find no difference. They compete with each other over pleasing the wealthy, privileged globalists. @ujean56 The liberals didn't even get a chance to vote for their leader, the back room boys appointed Iggy and that is not democracy. They also love to drop in whoever they like into ridings and the poor members don't even have a say in it, that is not democracy.

The liberals still owe us over 40 million dollars from the sponsership mess and you have the nerve to talk about the conservatives. They never took our money from us, they are just fighting to save the country from assholes like you.
