Family of teen with leukemia puts out call for bone marrow donors

Center Grove - The family of a 14-year-old boy is putting out a call for help.

Tyler Genneken is determined to leave a legacy. He's publicly shared his battle with leukemia.

Tyler, who is from Center Grove, loves football. He was first diagnosed three years ago. Aggressive chemotherapy put the cancer in remission. Unfortunately, in June of 2009 Tyler relapsed.

"When he was asked early on what he wanted to do when he got out of the hospital the first time he was in, his response was, 'I don't want to go to Disney World' or do this. He wanted to help other people so he definitely is taking a lead and lead by example for us," said Tyler's dad, Drew Genneken.
