@franklinfuentes thanks!!! i will see if i can get them on amazon. freakin hell - someone wrote a book about "if madonna calls"? that's the stuff legends are made off...a major coup! each response prompts more questions...i dont like to clog up your comments but one more ? pls. how do remixes happen? does the band pay the producer of their choice to do say a dance mix or does the producer pick the song they want to remix? or a bit of both? thanks FF for sharing some of the secrets of yr world.

@farkn0se, VERY!
for dance documentaries, i'd suggest 'maestro' (about the paradise garage) & 'hang the dj.' which centered around 'if madonna calls' incidentally.. let me know what you think?

@franklinfuentes that is pretty sad...isn't there a sense of community in the NY house music scene? also...do you know of any definitive book, movie or doco about the NY house music scene? like insider interviews and such - your comment above seems to hint at a thousand fascinating and untold stories. also the way the different tunes and mixes are often inter related - ppl like yourself, george morel and just about everyone else who releases under different names and partnerships. v interesting

@franklinfuentes the guy from england wasn't guy ritchie was he? lol and another question - on discogs it says the song is your creation but on wikipedia it says it's junior vasquez's creation?!!! what's the real deal?
and one more question...if dave brubeck calls will his video response get approved? lol

@Gwinnettboy18 actually, i read an interview with junior (i believe on mtribe or some madonna site) and he says there was NEVER beef between him and her, the beef was that her label was pissed that he used her vocals and i guess didn't get permission from them. that's why his remixes never get released on her singles. although he did ask her if he could remix one of her newer songs (i wanna say it was hollywood but i could be wrong). but yeah...
mad film clip to a great tune - who directed the clip?
