Madagascar

This is Madagascar rosewood. Too dark to be brazilian rosewood. Also the likelyhood of even finding it is rare. It has been on the CITES treaty since 1967 and has been banned from import since 1991 if that was brazilian rose wood you would have a piece retailed at about 2,000 dollars.

You must have bought it off Ebay from the guy "film4". If you did, you got it thinking it was Brazilian. If you got it from him, this is definitely not Brazilian. He is a fraud, selling Madagascan as Brazilian.

Sure im still interested in this board, whats the dimensions again and the price?

Its impossible to say just looking at it. Despite what some "experts" think. Brazilian is not always curly - not at all! The easy test is to sand an area clean, dampen said area with a little water and smell it. Braz smells distinctive. If you still dont know cut a small chip off and send it to me and I'll test it.

D. Baroni. tonewood what id call Mad-Dog. INk line Landscaping grain vertical. How much do you want for this board?
You are correct this is Madagascar and has since been sold. You are incorrect that it would be too dark to be Brazilian. BRW comes in darker in colors than this piece.
