Oh Mr Cameron was written by Norma Parry (Alun Parry's mum and liverpool pensioner) when the Emergency Spending Review came out.

Since then, Alun Parry and the Singers have sung it all over the place, and sections can been heard on radio 4 and the guardian website.

This is the Liverpool Socialist Singers singing it outside News From Nowhere on Bold Street, on the 26th September Bold Street Festival.

  • @jinx31415 Thank you, we do try =) If you happen to see us around and about come and say hi - we go on protests and do performances, such as at the Liverpool Working Class Life and Music Festival next April.

  • @Belinsky69 I think it's capitalism which is being shown not to work. Tuneless, and so... Wait, no, never worked.

Capitalism has done the world the favour of providing simply huge productive potential, all that remains now is for the people to turn that production away from arms and back towards the things that people really need: as simple as food, water etc which billions are being denied under capitalism.

  • Great to have the time to write this, must not be working hard enough at The Corpy!

  • @Belinsky69 So you're saying Capitalism *does* work?

It's the next logical step in collective human sociology. Whenever a new phase is introduced it's hard as hell to get it to work. The step from feudalism to capitalism is the best basis for comparison.

  • can someone put up the tabs or chords for this plz?

  • socialism does not work -- tuneful but so 20th century
