I too first heard this on Dylan's Good As I Been To You album. Love Bob's version, love this one, both beautiful. What...a song to leave on the earth. How wonderfully sung. Orginal has "spalpeen" (migrant worker); Bob sings "snappy". Both work. Bob knows a great song when he hears it, and there can be no doubt that he enjoys Paul Brady's version as much as any of us do.

@hanghang71 Arite man, Arthur Mc Bride is CGDGBD and Mary and the Soldier is DGDGBD altho i think even for artur here ya can kick the C to a D same tuning but both sound deadly!!:)

Possibly the best live performance on the whole of YouTube. I don't think any of Paul's later recordings gets near the standard vocally or can match his amazing guitar playing. That said, he's still a wonderful singer/ songwriter.
