In order to develop explosive power, an athlete must train to maximize elastic energy from the muscles and tendons. Dynamic Integration™ trains the athlete to use the force of the action of the muscle pulling or stretching back and forcefully moving forward in a powerful fashion. The more force with which you pull back, the more explosive the forward movement becomes. The force built up is called elastic energy which helps make your movements more powerful. If you train with heavy weights and slow action you respond slow, if you train to develop elastic energy you respond fast. This lengthening of the muscle/tendon action is called eccentric action. When the lengthening is complete and now you start the action of shortening the muscle is

ECENTRIC/ CONCENTRIC

In order to develop explosive power, an athlete must train to maximize elastic energy from the muscles and tendons. Dynamic Integration™ trains the athlete to use the force of the action of the muscle pulling or stretching back and forcefully moving forward in a powerful fashion. The more force with which you pull back, the more explosive the forward movement becomes. The force built up is called elastic energy which helps make your movements more powerful. If you train with heavy weights and slow action you respond slow, if you train to develop elastic energy you respond fast. This lengthening of the muscle/tendon action is called eccentric action. When the lengthening is complete and now you start the action of shortening the muscle is called concentric action.

What is important in developing athleticism, is to develop eccentric/concentric action that is usable when called upon when needed. Training should help the athlete to learn to the ability to store energy loaded in he muscle but also to release all or most of the available stored energy. The ability to use most the available stored energy is dependent on how quickly the athlete can change from the eccentric to the concentric action.

  • Also on a side note: Georges St Pierre is getting done with his rehab and slowly moving into his prehab. Why don't you guys search "gsp road to recovery" and see what machine one of the worlds most explosive athlete is using hahahaha

  • The losers who are saying this stuff doesn't work are the same losers who think jumping is a plyometric. They are the same people who think back squat is still being used by the best ahletes in the world. (Besides Olympic lifters) go research and learn some biomechanics and anatomy before you say a bunch of stuff that makes no sense. Lol gym rats

  • Marv was trained by Dr. Michael yessis. Yessis translated all and pioneered here in America, all of verkhoshansky's writings on plyometrics(the soviet who invented "plyometrics"). Marv trains some of the biggest names in professional sports and has nothing but success. He learned and trained with yessis forever. Yessis has trained, taught, and worked with atleast half of the greatest athletes of the last 50 years. Marv uses nothing but his teachings.

  • dont knock it til you try it. you think a deep squat is more beneficial? think again

  • Its sort of like a car crash... I can't look away. There are so many things wrong with what's going on, I don't even know where I would start.

  • i cant hear any sound on the video for some reason. but i imagine it's a lot of tortuous mechanical shrieks and guttural human wailing

  • This is fucking bullshit!!

  • You got to be fucking kidding me.

  • what the fuck?

  • HAHAHAHA EXPLOSIVE TRAINING!!!! LOL GET A BAR ON YOUR BACK

SQUAT AND STOP WASTING MY TIME WITH THIS BULLSHIT!!!!

    You aren't explosive at all
