@attrezzopox well weight is a huge issue when driving in sand, however its also weather u air down or not... my uncle drives his f350 dually towing his raptor 5th wheel (38') all around pismo, and my mom dirves are fleetwood motorhome (30,000pounds) towing are 17ft trailer with all of are quads and everything on it no problem because we air down to like 25-30psi

@downfour47304 thats why you shouldnt buy a dodge in the first place

That was sexy. I'm buyin' an FJ Cruiser. +

Wheels need to be straight

@redrider250r It could pull it here to kingdom come, it's stopping and jack knifing that are the bigger problems.

@19Clutch69 Weight has a hell-of-alot to do with driving on the sand. You want to drive on top not drag yourself through it like a boat anchor with two wheels. That's why it's not a good idea to take a giant truck to the beach. It doesn't matter how much it can tow, if you're too heavy you'll sink like a stone.

@claud122003 They limit it because of the weight of the car and the braking power. A trailor that's too heavy and jacknifes is only worse than a trailor that's too heavy and can't be stopped. It can pull a whole lot more than is highway rated.

@downfour47304 You might consider doing that anyway.

@2003evodave I see a stock FJ dragging a giant truck and a small house about four feet through loose sand.
How? First, a the beginning of the vid the dodge digs with NO forward momentum. It's too heavy for the sand.
The FJ holds the towstrap tense applying moving force while the dodge digs it's fat little heart out.
This means the FJ is pulling at the full weight of the trailor and at least some of the truck forward, while the dodge makes neat little sand dunes behind it's tires.

I see a stock FJ dragging a giant truck, with a small house attached, through about four feet of dry sand. That dodge is throwing sand all over the place but isn't moving forward it's digging in.
How do I know? The towstrap is tense. And at the beginning of the vid the dodge starts digging a trench with NO forward movement on it's own. That means the fj is pulling the full weight of the trailor and at least some weight of the truck.
i would burn my dodge if i got pulled out by a FJ.. lol
