A collection of some of the more interesting/funny/"WTF?" moments from the somewhat obscure French adventure game developed by Coktel Vision and published by Sierra On-Line, The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schnibble.

The indispensable adventure game emulator SCUMMVM now supports this game, which is great because until now, I've only been able to run this game in fullscreen, with the 800X600 screen taking up less than half of my monitor. I've also been unable to take certain screenshots, even with SnagIt's help. Thanks to SCUMMVM, however, this has all changed.

Any "flashes" you might see in the animations are due a minor problem with SCUMMVM.

  • Where can I play this game?! I used to have it when I was younger and am getting cravings to play it again!! But I can't find it anywhere. I was even driven to using torrents but I couldn't get the stupid game to work. Someone help. I'm not great with software stuff. Thanks

  • @WhoOnEarthAreYou: At the moment, your best bet would be looking on a site like eBay. I found four copies of it for sale when I did a search for it there. As for running the game, SCUMMVM can run Woodruff and it is very easy to use. Just install the program (it's free to download), start it up, locate Woodruff on your computer and you're ready to play it.

  • how did you record it?

  • @JoYfullJerk I used SnagIt, while running the game itself in SCUMMVM.

  • ahhh such good memories!

I should play this one again...

proud to be the owner of the original cd release!!!

awesome job! thank you very much for the montage!

  • You're welcome! Thanks for the comment.

  • There wasn`t need of internet to get walkthroughs, because PC Games had every month updated DLH on the Mag CD. Now you can buy DLH also on CD for 5 €

  • No internet back then folks... that meant no walkthroughs. Like woodruff says in 1:47 , those were the good 'ol days...ah!

  • that was one good game, and only recently i've learned it was French, well i think that was a French flair that kept me captivated every time i replayed that game.

Woodruff - лучший! / is the best!

  • i was 8 years old and played it lol

  • So the question is this. Why the fuck do we need games like Crysis when games like this are what games ARE and should be!?

  • Amazing game, very smart, genius level

  • @Akril I looked for it on ebay and Amazon. I found it on the American Amazon but I can't get it shipped to the U.K. I've already got scumm but because the torrents are rar files I can't get them to play. I think I have to give up and realise I'm not gonna play this game again. :(
