Not sure why this vanished from Youtube, but It sort of fits perfectly with a certain former employer of mine and the job i was formerly in! Don't seem to remember there being as much dancing there at work, but the song sure fits! Used to sing it to myself every day going to work!

@painlessissuicide LOL, do your research. The cinematographers at the Academy sure thought the cinematography by OSWALD MORRIS, not SIDNEY LUMET, was worthy of an Oscar nomination.
It was a well known cinematographer that shot THE WIZ (who won an Oscar for a musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and was nominated for OLIVER!, another great musical, and shot MOULIN ROUGE (1952), another great movie about a music establishment), so quit embarrassing yourself with your pointlessness.

he just leaves the camera rolling, either stationary shots, on tracking shots, or that awful "pan really far back" shot
the man just wasn't meant to direct musicals

@veggiete Yes, it is one of the best movie-musicals out there, and the most underrated of all time.

@painlessissuicide Completely ignorant comment, THE COLOR PURPLE is the best movie about the black experience, and it did not need a "BLACK" director for it to be more than the masterpiece it already is.
THE WIZ is proof that some things are made way ahead of their time, and it also had the huge obstacle of being compared to one of the most BELOVED films of all time, so the scrutiny was going to be harsh and plentiful.

@jojo34209 I agree with you with all my heart. This movie is one of the greatest musical/movie I have ever seen. just remember stupid people always make your want to suit up for the ring, but remember there are to many of them.
