  • hi man very good job i do like it

is your led matrix conected to the computer?

and if it is how do you load the map?

is the map a huge matrix created with a programming language?

and how do you turn the leds on?

u do it through the PC's parallel port??

please give me a little information about that i would like to know :D

    thanks man good job (Y)

  • @Chermo89 Hi. It is only connected to the computer (via the pickit 2 programmer) to apply power to the game. All the information is stored internally on a pic microcontroller. Each level is stored in approx 480 bytes of memory, so if there are 32 that comes to a total of 15360 bytes. The maps were created using excel and then the binary output was copied and pasted into the game code. One day I will post all the info for this on my website (see my channel for the link)

    Thanks for your questions!

  • Thats awesome bro, i really like that you keep tailing off cos ur getiing sucked into the game as you explain it haha. nice man

  • Yeah it's hard to focus on two things at once sometimes = )

  • Thanks for the comments everyone - I appreciate them!

Just letting you know that I have started work on this game again and am programming in the remaining thirty something levels. I am also going to commence work on getting coins, items and bad guys working.
