Yeh..slicing the meat with a cheapo machete..Lynn Thompson, this is a cracking outdoors blade, hacking ,splitting, hearth making, trimming and food prep? whoa..also have to thank the lemonade brandishing officer who helped me garnish Joe's bed with salad,I mean ferns,a great help! Once the Nimble Will stove had enough coals in we tipped them out onto the floor and added green material/chips for the smoke...ooohhh the beef was amazing! Joe later introduced me to the "delights" of bourbon,,honestly it tasted like someone had put a load of wheat in water, poured it into a charred barrel, put a lid on it and come back 5 years later.....
I love to see a blade in action. Nice demo.

That machete sure is useful i keep a 12 inch Tramontina, my grandma and grandpa, God bless their souls preffered the Collins machetes. When i was a kid no selfrespceting Latin American went without one either in the fields while working or even in town and it was kept on a sheath attatched to the horse saddle. The meat looks like it turned out fantastic, was it smoked within the green branches?

@EDINBURGSTAR hi there..yes the smoke was made by putting green material and wood chips/chunks on the embers,,we took the pyramidial screen away after about 2 1/2 hrs to give us some more light as evening drew in..as you mention your Tramontina,I'll have to bring out all my machetes for a showdown ,,my Trammy is amazing for trimming the conifers in the front garden...have a great week!
