So let me get this straight. What you're saying is, restarting Caelondia is like the ending to "What Dreams May Come". Got it. ;-P
-
wow.. that's deep.

@Czarewich Also, interesting note: you should listen to the song in the end credits, while being mindful of the context. The female lines are from the Ura's perspective, and the male's from a Caelondian soldier's. The contrast of "some day that wall is gonna fall" vs "I'm coming home from my tour" is touching, and helps create some perspective for the opinions these two races have on each other. They're essentially folk songs set to the same tune!

Insight is better than bile. My interpretation of the Bastion was admittedly more literal than yours, mind you, but I agree that it's refreshing to have a game that begs for that sort of analysis.
-
I didn't read the game's story as you did, but I think it's wonderful that a game exists that actually allows for multiple interpretations of its story.
-
Just like to say I found your analysis of the game both insightful and informative. I had not read the game as you did but now you pointed it out, yes I can see what you mean.
-
Yeah, I'd say positive analysis is just as beneficial as negative analysis. I just beat Bastion, and part of the reason for my beating it when I did was wanting to watch this video (It's the only one of yours I haven't seen :P) And it was crazy to see that side of it, that it was alluding to a catastrophic break-up, especially since I just had one lol. So...yeah, great vidya'!

You have no need to be funny, your analysis is brilliant enough to carry the video :) also try considering how the story plays out if you pick the restoration option and then play new game plus, the idea that the kid realizes at some point that he's done this before and the same events happened again leading to him deciding to set sail. Apparently there's even some dialogue variations that imply the Narrator picked it up as well (not my theory, stolen from some internet guy who I've forgotten).

You're wrong, borderlands isn't about post-apocalyptia, its about Pandora, ravaged by war and hate just to find something that was spread just as an old tale and then became a massive treasure hunt to find alien tech and unlimited wealth, not about bombs or meteors turning the earth into an uninhabitable (or is supposed to be) waste of hells depths

You made me love the game even more, so that's another thing you made right
why do you only have 300 views....this should have much more
