@ArentWeSpecial Wow dude you're SO off on my age it's not funny,I'm 24 years old and I still watch anime and ya know what? I'm cool with that.
I'm gonna keep watching anime till the day I die I don't give a fuck what you or anyone says. You can never be too old for anime imo I watch anime almost everyday.Better than all the lame ass crap that's shown on tv nowadays that's for damn sure.

@Rammstein027 Ahh, I remember being 14, too. Enjoy it, these are very important years in your life. :)

@ArentWeSpecial WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK THAT IT LACKS ORIGINALITY?!...besides you that is.Lol
Were ANY of us around during WWII? Were we the ones getting blown up,shot at,etc, etc? No.Do any of us who have played Valkyria Chronicles give a shit about what really happened during that period? No not really...well most of us anyway.
This game was mostly centered towards anime fans such as myself.Hence the storyline, characters, etc and I'm fine with that.Originality can go blow me.

@Rammstein027 How does "the whole using WWII with changed name plot" make this game good in your eyes? I don't see how that's a point in its favor. Doesn't the lack of originality bother you?
-
@ArentWeSpecial Well the fact that this game got SO many good reviews, etc and it's got quite a fan base despite not selling as good as Sega hoped...Me and many other fans of this game would beg to differ.
The whole using WWII with changed name plot is what makes this game awesome.Besides why should it matter that the game borrows elements from WWII anyway? The game is better than any REAL life WW whatever.Lol
Awesome music, characters, story telling and voice actors PERIOD.

@Rammstein027 What I mean by "saccharine" is that it's over-the-top sweet and sentimental. Not to mention that the whole setup to this plot is basically just WWII with all of the names changed. Even "Gallia" is just the old Latin name for the historic Roman province of Gaul, which is now modern day France. It's a pity, really, because the gameplay looks like something I would enjoy, I just don't know if I could get into it with this cringe-worthy dialogue at every turn.
-
@ArentWeSpecial Correct me if I'm wrong, but you did say just now that it doesn't have to be changed cuz it already sounded sweet, etc?
Anyway, that line's not cliched or sappy in any way imo.Like I said before Kari did an AWESOME job with that line/quote/monologue one of my favorite lines in the game.
I know no one can do that monologue better than she can I was only saying I'd like to see haters try to do it themselves...then I'd laugh my ass off as they fail miserably lol.
-
@Rammstein027 I don't know why anyone would want to try to top her performance of that line, because it is a really clichéd, really sappy line. All of the story and characterization that I've seen so far in this game is just saccharine beyond belief.
-
@ArentWeSpecial If you're talking about that whole monologue that I quoted then screw you.Kari Wahlgren did an awesome job with that monologue as a matter of fact it's one of my favorite lines/quotes in the game.
I'd like to see ANY hater of that line try to do it themselves cuz no one and I mean NO ONE can do it as good as Kari did it.

@Rammstein027 What utterly horrible writing. My brain nearly crawled out of my skull from embarrassment just reading that, and hearing it was even worse.
I hate you PS3 for costing so damn much!!!!
You make poor people cry :(

"On the 15th day of the third month of the year 1935,the empire began its assault in earnest.
A formal declaration of war was made upon Gallia.
Though it was a small front in a massive continental assault, what followed would prove that a tiny nation could best a military giant.
These events would tell a story of tragedy hidden in the mists of time.
A story of courage and of trust,of persecution and hate...
And of love blooming, even through the flames of war.
