Jeff Beck is my hero too. You become better by even attempting to play like him. I've gone through hell and back to try and capture his vibrato technique. While the LSR Roller Nut is important, it's even more important to make sure your guitar has 2-point synchronized that allows you to raise as well as lower the pitch. And, don't forget some HOT noiseless pickups

The other thing is that you would have to be VERY careful when filing these slots out as the ball bearing retainers can be very easily damaged. Plus the fact that once the slot has been widened it will have to be highly polished so as not to cause any damage to the strings.

Hi hughjarrse, now I understand what you mean!! I see no reason why this wouldn't work although one word of caution - the width of the slots on the leading edge of the nut are keyed to the string width and are there to stabilise sideways movement of the strings. If you widen one, or more, of these slots you might run the risk of having the strings pop out of their seating on the ball bearings if you put heavy bends on the strings, parrticularly if you use a high action!

@LFraserS Cheers Mr F, I'll give it a go, but because I didn't actually have one to look at it's nice to get an opinion of someone who has, and also has an engineering mind, you said life wasn't fair for lefties you right, there aren't too many lefty strat's to choose from and it's further compounded by righties buying lefty strat's to look like Hendrix! it should be illegal
