Notice I didn't defend any Democrats in my comment- every single person involved in this scandal are exactly as guilty.
In Kansas, this is a Republican scandal because it's our Republcian congressman who is invovled. In the rest of the country it's Democrats and Republicans. Here though- it's all on Todd's head.

Never said that, the GOP is just as hard on their own with something like that. I like how you are trying to spin my comment to fit your clear bias. Fact is though, the democrat party is made up of this kind of behavior and it shows in their rampant use of earmark spending. Some in the GOP are guilty of it too, usually neocons, and this is something the GOP needs to work on getting rid of as it has no place in small government and wasteful spending. Nice try though.

And that makes Tiahrt's involvement less of a scandal how exactly?
I love it when the GOPer try to pull the old "but they're doing it too!" when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

Funny thing is, thats exactly what Obama and his cronies are doing right now. This big spending is returning the favor by giving those who supported him earmarks and funding, they include the PMA and other groups. The republicans wanted to create an ethics committee to investigate this issues on both sides of the fence, democrats in congress voted it down. Why? because they cannot afford a scandal they know exists.

Quibbling over semantics doesn't help Todd on this one- at very, very best, it looks like he did something crooked- at worst, he actually did.

Nobody "paid" Todd Tiahrt directly. Your sensational wording is unfortunate. Unless sensationalism is basically your only goal here. Are you trying to make people believe somehow PMA showed up with thousands in a briefcase for Todd? Please.
Todd Tiahrt is a family friend and a good man. I don't always agree with him but he has been an outstanding representative of the 4th District.
If you want to lay accusations here, be more careful with the facts or else none of this sticks. Good day.
Tiahrt received $27,000 from PMA Group's PAC and it's employees. He then secured $7 million in earmarks for the firm's clients.
Those are the facts and I'm insinuating nothing more.
