A review of the Tamron 18 - 270mm f3.5 - 6.3 Di II VC PZD Piezo Drive lens. Made for Canon, Nikon, and Sony crop sensor DSLR bodies.
theres HUGE barrel distortion. This is a noob lens. Noobs dont understand Chromatic abberation, barrel distortion, fast aperatures, sharp images. They only care about zoom and megapixels..... shame on lens makers to exploit people's ignorance

Great review. How does it compare to the Nikon 18-200 VR2 kit lens?
Thanks from Chicago.

I use the Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 on a Canon 5d mkII, I would recommend it to anyone. Very sharp, beautiful bokeh.

I've been working with Tamrons since 12 years. They are excellent lenses.
In my opinion a full frame coverage lens even attached to a cropped sensor camera gives a better image quality (MTF is the only proof).Besides if you upgrade to a full frame sensor the lens is still worth.Anyway congradulations Tom,very nice review.Cheers.
