The school districts are not indoctrinating their being inclusive, reading a book about gay people isnt going to make your five year old gay, just like a book about dinosaurs isnt going to make your five year old one.

@wgmyler the right wing also seems to enjoy talking about the stability of marriage, like it hasnt changed in five thousand years, it has. Fve theousand years ago, young man, you did not have the luxury of chosing your spouse that was done for you, as was when you got married. you didnt get to stretchout your bachelor as long as you wanted. Women were considered property until the 1800's and before 1967 interacial marriage was illegal until it was declared a civil right.

@wgmyler secondarily the schoolindoctrination you like to talk about doesnt exist. a good perportion of families in that states school district are gay or lesbian they wished to have stories and fairy tales that are inclusive and reflect the family makeup these children already have. If this promotes discussion at home, Its a good thing. I know parents today rarely want to interact at all with their children, and I think thats sad that you want to promote that kind of disconnect. family values?

@wgmyler I hate to disagrees with you, but the people do NOT have the right to define anything in regard to the civil rights of the people. thats why we live in a republic and not a democracy because our founding fathers knew that leaving the granting of rights and Privileges to the decision of the people was stupid. Thomas jeferson wrote on several occasions that in this new country that the majority should rule BUT there has to be a resoning behind it, logical resoning.

The real liars are the gay activists that try to make it an "equal rights" issue. CA Family Code 297.5 is the key! What about the people's right to define marriage? What about religious freedom and parents rights (school indoctrination)?

California law allows parents to pull children from health and family curriculum that they have moral or religious objectives to. Domestic partnerships have statutory and practical differences than marriage. Domestic partners are treated different by hospitals and employers than spouses are. Domestic partners must live together, spouses don't have to.
