First test with Vinyl encapsulated gelatin. Vinyl brushed in, next test will use airbrush for better edges.

  • Not sure of the benefits of using vinyl encapsulant for gelatine. I understand it is essential for silicone gel, but gelatine edges blend beautifully when made well.

I imagine applying a thin layer of (cured) cap plastic to the skin the same size as the appliance prior to applying the gelatine prosthetic would prevent moisture from coming through to the skin if it is purely an anti-perspirant measure.

  • yep, I can do the same thing with Knox gelatin and glycerin, lol still pretty cool though, I so can't wait for Halloween!

  • Wait... Is the gelatin the slit, or are you using gelatin to remove it?

  • how did you do it

  • Yeah what song is this ??

  • looks good, it really looks like a fresh wound. the moistness of it all really gives it that realistic look, way to go.

  • (0.0) holy shit...........in a good way XD

  • ew.

  • Cool!

I'm currently trying to make a cosplay of some needlewoman in Fatal Frame, and I am using some stem wire for the needles in my arms. I kind of want the skin...up a bit, to stick to the bottom of the wire. Any tips to have the wire stay on me arm, WITHOUT stabbing it into myself? xDD

  • YUK!!!!!! hahah very nice
