This is a good friend of mine Phil Hamilton who runs Spire Ridge Reptiles in Midgham Berkshire. Phil has worked with reptiles most of his life and runs, in my opinion an awesome store with tons of fantastic animals.

We will be looking at a Crocodile monitor, Black & White Tegu, Ackie or Spiny Tailed Monitor and a Golden Tegu. Phil will also be giving advice on handling, care and housing of monitor lizards. At the end of the video we will be feeding the Croc monitor and the big Tegu too! :-)

I hope you enjoy the video and please feel free to post any questions regarding monitor lizards below. :-)

Happy Herping!!

The song at the end is Cloudkicker - We're goin' in. We're going down.

Thank you Mr Clodkicker, you are awesome!!

  • From what I understand they have never videotaped a Croc monitor in the wild. I wish animal planet would stop showing crocodiles and sharks, but look at all the other reptiles that aren't snakes.

  • where do u get your cages

  • Never feed a monitor with your hands dude. Especially with the species with the longest teeth, due to being a tree dwelling apex hunter.

  • Tegidae is not related to snakes or Varanidae

  • Where can u buy baby chickens like that?

  • You Gay? You looks like and speak like a gay :-D
