My rendition of an Elton John classic from the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album.
I did a little experimentation with the audio. Wanting to take advantage of the pickups in my 12-string, I had to record the vocals separate because I don't have a mic stand. I sang while video recording but re-recorded the vocals to put on top. I added a little reverb and chorus to the vocals as well. You may noticed a couple of spots where the recorded vocals is a little out of sync with the video.
Anyway, I hope you like it. I've always loved playing this song.
The pickups, by the way, are the Prestige 330 (piezo-style) from JJB Electronics. Check 'em out at http://www.jjb-electronics.com/Presitge.html
finally, a cover that actually sounds like the original:)
great job

Thanks. I capo'd at the 2nd fret and then used G, A and D, with a Bm. Without the capo, it's E, A, B and C#m. With the capo winds up being a half-step lower than without. But with the capo, it's easier to add the the little bass run, from the G, at the beginning of the song and between the verses. It's possible from the E, but it's awkward. One of the benefits of the capo. -Rob
