  • LOL...No I know the gallons the filter run I was meaning how much did you pay for the filters?

  • like 53 bucks all together with tax.

i just brought my tank home. it's huge!

  • Oh that is good 7-8 inches of water SO how much were your zoo med 501's for?

  • 30 gallons each...

I'm not sure how much water 7-8 inches is in the 75 gallon.

But i know I'll have a shallow end with a good bit of land. I know I have like 8-9 gallons of water in the tank in this video.

  • If you point the out flow towards the water you get a circualtion but I am just saying for a tank that size...lol...Well they only make the tubing long enough for a 30g tank I trimmed mines since I have a long tank and not a standard high tank I have almost my whole tank full maybe a few inches from the top so Banana cant get out even when my tank was half full the canister ran just fine now if you bought the zoo med 511 that one need a min of 30g of water so your should be fine

  • Luckily I'll only be having up to 7 or 8 inches of water in there.

  • Blame the woman...YES lol jk nice tank and HD tv

  • A 75g is a huge tank...lol...I bet the turtles looks so small in there or whenever you put them in...SO both zoo med 501 filters were 53 or that was the price of one? When are you planning on setting up the tank

  • Are you serious? damnit.

I'm not worried about the tubing,(i can buy longer tubes) just the fact that I thought the 2 501's would be enough for my tank. how much water do you have in your tank?

  • Oh you got the zoo med 501 canister filter? You may need something to lift the canister with since the tubing is not that long especially to reach into a 75g tank I have two of them I run them on each side of my tank I face the out take tubes twards the glass so you dont hear it splashing in the water and run your air stone as well since the current is not that strong cant wait to see it all finished
