  • No idea what that was all about. But here's a tip on how to magnetise nails effectively: Stroke the nails with the magnet in ONE direction only; don't rub the nails back and forth with the magnet.

  • Dude, your not doing it right! you need a hot piece of metal, and a cold piece of metal to touch. The electrons move from the hot side to the cold side creating a current! If there are only two hot pieces of metal, there will be no polarity therefore, no electrical current!
