@2003slvrgt if ur check engine light comes on after messin with ur cats, just go to a local auto parts stor for "diagnostics" for FREE like advance auto or discount auto. they'll turn it off

Um, wrong....some years of Mustangs have 4 cats, two front, and two back. The O2 sensors are after the front ones, so you can remove the back ones without any engine management problems. A "cat back" is an exhaust kit that replaces from the cats on back...

I have four cats, therefore if I removed the second pair, I would be removing the back cats...

can you guys get it right its not back cats. its either cat back, or catalytic converts ( there is only 1 set and the they're in the middle of the car) not in the back.

when they removed you back cats did it make your service engine soon light come on? I've been thinking of doing the same thing to mine, but I haven't heard of anyone else doing it till now. your car sounds bad ass man. +2 for being convertible

No...The check engine lights did not come on...They were unsure what was going to happen when they removed them but worked out well..Also if you havent put a K&N filter in for the air cleaner...Work wonders..Eric

please man im begging you, get long tube headers on there!!! i want to hear what it sounds like! it allready sounds so badass, with headers it probably would sound so good people would cry. and besides, long tubes are worth at least 15-20hp at the wheels!

ya I heard its like 20 hours to put on headers, I have spoken to 3 muffler shop, Steeda, Blue Ovel Industries and Pypes....They said for the cost it isnt worth it.....i am still toying with it though
