I really like his manner...he is quite humble and soft spoken, not to mention that he is quite a musician.

Fusion is basically playing penatonic but outside the box. Obviously they are choice notes but jazz in a nutshell is playing notes that mostly work against a chord, creating dissonance and tension. Combine that with pentatonic runs and bends over a blues progression and you get something around fusion.

He'll end up with tennis elbow picking like that haha, seems to work though

@5tartawar because in c minor the notes are C D Eb F G Ab Bb C
and the g minor seven arpeggio has G Bb D F and the A at the end of the arpeggio can be used to cause tension even if it is not in the c minor scale. it is not diatonic but hey there are no rules cause jazz=freedom. peace

why does the g minor 7 arp work over a c minor?

@weaponx29 blues is often based off the penatonic minor (sometimes major) scale. fusion, usually short for "jazz fusion" is jazz or funk ideas mixed mostly with that of metal or rock.

what's the difference between blues and fusion? haha..how to play fusion?? \m/
