Very nice lesson. I too like that lively strummin'. Hearing you talk about upstrokes made me think. Interesting point, if you wear fingerpicks, it automatically makes for downstrokes with the thumb, and upstrokes with the fingers. I think the classic country blues 3 finger style developed from this restriction. Ex. utilizing Banjo rolls. Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy learning something new in open tuning. Happy Holidays! true about the fingerpicks but i don't like 'em : )
I have to play at least every other day for 30 min to keep my caluses up but i far prefer skin on steel ; )

I would love to see this with the camera a bit further away so that we could see both the fretting and strumming. They are both equally important to those of us who are following your lessons.
Otherwise you are great. How much for lessons and where are you?
