IMPACT Region I Harassment & Discrimination Training

IMPACT Region I Harassment and Discrimination Policy training courses held at Ironworkers Local 7 in Boston, MA.

The 4 hour training courses detail the various forms of Discrimination and Harassment, educating the participants on how to recognize and address any situation's that may occur both on and off site. Local 7 has established a chain of command to ensure every issue is properly documented and investigated. It is the immediate goal of Local 7 and the New England District Council to require stewards to complete the training by January of 2011 and in the long term to make the training mandatory for all its members. According to the Massachusetts Commission of Discrimination, the Ironworkers are the first trade to request this type of training in the state of Massachusetts.
