  • LOL, just got a text message man i'm popular! Sound like a SOUTHPARK character...

  • AVI is a container format, not a CODEC. The CODEC that is used has way more to do with file size than the container format that is used. .MOV like .AVI are containers not CODECs, I can't believe how many people still get this confused, especially those that tell people how to do things such as compression on YouTube. If you are looking for a smaller file size in an AVI container, you need to switch the CODEC that you are using, and not necessarily the package that contains the video.

  • Thanx a lot!!!

  • I can't click there to watch it!

  • Great tutorial, helped me a lot, but the NTSC framerate is actually not necessary. On the one hand it's designed for videos which are supposed to be shown on TV (NTSC = National Television Systems Committee), on the other hand the human eye can only spot 23 frames per second (depending on the viewer, who can sometimes even see less). So, by choosing that framerate you can additionally save 6 frames per second, that means 21% less file size.

    Stay crispy.
