This one really makes me want to drag out my old photos and reflect on my memories of the beach life that I experienced in my youth. Thank you taking the time to put this one on for all to see. The music was a great touch in the video. Keep up your great work!

Thanks Frank for sending this to me.We recorded the Beach Music Medley in the early 80s with the Embers. My family stayed in Cherry Grove in the early 60s. Jackie Gore, Gerald Davis and I, all on this medley, performed today with the NC Symphony in Raleigh with the Legends of Beach in an incredible show saluting NC music, including beach music. We've got to start doing this medley again. Thanks to whoever put this together. You and Frank H have my gratitude. Johnny Barker

Well done. Brings back a lot of memories especially the Beach Club picture. I got my inspiration to play the drums there after sneaking in (15 yr old) and seeing the Delacardos and their drummer Dallas Steele. Dallas thought me the meaning of "fatback drums". Bobby Speir

We always stayed in a cottage that a friend owned, but I remember passing some of these places when we cruised the beach front. A great video and loved the music.

@Cathooker2 Thank you for subscribing, hope you enjoy the music! BTW, did you ever come across a photo of the Fleetwood Motel, it was located in Myrtle somewhat across from the Mall and near where Hardee's restaurant was located and about a mile or so south of the old Hickory House. Anyway, the parents of my best friend in high school owned and operated the place, a typical Mom & Pop motel. Their last name was McCormick. :-))

The promo poster was for John, Jerry and the Soulmasters a band out of Danville, VA. They were one of the first bands in that area to utilize horns and choreography with their performances.
