Old-school static warm up exercises are dead (think toe touches before gym class). A smart warm up requires you to move.

The Backward Lunge and Twist is a dynamic warm up movement to stretch your hips, legs, abs, and low back. You'll also burn fat, raise your body temperature, and increase blood flow to your muscles so you have a great workout. This simple bodyweight exercise does not require any equipment so you can do it in your hotel room, on the beach, or whenever you want to get a quick workout to burn belly fat and uncover your hidden six pack abs.

The best fat burning workouts are done in short-bursts of hard exercise followed by a quick rest period.

Coaching Tips:

* When you lean back and rotate, squeeze the gluteus muscle (your butt) of your back leg.
* Tighten your abs for the entire exercise.
