PES 2011 DEMO Ubuntu

Just to show that it is -still- possible to play PES (now PES2011 demo) under Ubuntu through Wine.

Video created/converted with RecordMyDesktop/DeVeDe and finally edited with Avidemux.

I still have sounds problems derived from RecordMyDesktop? (no idea)

Ubuntu 10.10_x64 (beta), ASUS nVidia 9600GT-512, C2D_E6750@6750, 2GB RAM.

@BOOS5051 right click on the panel bar you want to changes its properties... changes opacity, color... as you like.

I have installed PES2011 on my ubuntu 10.04 box with wine 1.3.5 works fine but does not have menu music and commentary in the game. another issue is if run game in fullscreen and when i exit the game my desktop resolution changes to that of the game i.e 1024x768 do u have any solution to that?

@nashkrammer Unfortunately (AFAIK)), what you say about commentary voices is true... so the solution must be come from the WINE developement.

About your 2º issue... I have no resolutions problems.

I setup the graphics options under Settings.EXE (1680x1050, 16:9, LB, Quality=High, 3 options below = unmarked)

Under Ubuntu 10.10 I haven't played with PES2011 yet , but I figure (I hope) that KitServer can be run too.

To run the PES in Ubuntu do what the tutorial says "PES 2010 with wine in linux"

...BUT I did NOT INSTALL PES under Ubuntu... just run the EXE.

You need Wine, DirecXT and some libraries --> winetricks

How I make a shortcut link? -> (No need to put as "application in terminal") -> in my case is:

wine "\\media\\sda2\\Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 DEMO\\pes2011demo.exe"

I can play PES2010 (KITSERVER TOO!!!), 2011demo (& its differents patches)

@Artingei 1º- There is a video tutorial that shows how to install PES 2010 under Ubuntu... search it.

2º- The same steps are followed to play PES 2011 DEMO.

3º- Maybe you have to install other libraries ---> check out WINETRICKS

4º- If you have a pre-installed PES under Win...and have WINE under Ubuntu (or any other distro) you just have to click the executable (*.EXE)... and play.

@zykral Hey i have installed Patch 0.2 by razib_46 works like a charm. PES2011 can get a platinum rating if the voice issue is solved by wine. I am trying to load some DX files from winetricks also tried OSS in wineconfig but nothing worked.

i have installed pes 2010 and it runs smoothly via crossover games on my mac. but the installation of the 2011 demo hangs itself at about 70 %. i dont know what to do, tried everything...
