@MIKOLBZ Well......it may be true that you are MOSTLY/MAINLY Celtic. But there is not a single genetic line. Its primarily cultural. Many of the eastern section came from England. Many from the valleys have English blood. I consider myself Welsh-Italian...my grandfathers are Glyndwr Hughes & Martinelli!.

5:13 I wonder if that's a pint of "Scull Attack" he's drinking. Brains being Wales' most famous brewery.

@jeannegirl1 Im nearly clueless. But I do know that a lot of the Thomas' came from Breconshire, Wales. I'm trying to figure out if they were Norman invaders (prob most likely) or the native people of the area. Just keep googling..ha

@Stunr99 My father is a "Williams" and his mother was "Jones"(...pffft, wish me luck! haha.) would love to trace my family lineage. Ive only been able to go as far back as my great great grandfather the Williams side, born in Wales, in the 1880-90's he came to the U.S. died 1922 in Tucson. (i found his death certificate online) and thats it. Did the welsh even keep records of people way back then? If they did, who's the person in wales to call to find them for us.

@lunabranwen
Quite right. For many in Carmarthenshire (never conquered either by Roman or Norman, interestingly) Welsh remains the mother tongue.
