This is a remake of the Original Dragon Quest 2 on the Famicom (Japanese NES)and was released in Japan on the Super Famicom back in 1993.

This version was never released in America. However, the ROM was translated by EvilTeam and RPGone back in 2002.

  • anyone know where to get the rom for this game?

  • I've had it for some time but I can't remember the site. I think I got it from a Dragon Quest shrine site or fansite.

  • Has bob and Rolando got Falcon swords on or something they keep hiiting Malroth/Shidor

    twice

  • Yup, they both have falcon swords.

  • I think they gave Shidor (Malroth) a hell of alot more hit points in this remake too and it may be because he doesn't use Healall anymore but I'm not sure. I fought him a couple different times and he never used it.

  • I'll have to get these roms. Is there one for DQIII?

  • Yes but there's no translation for it yet :(

  • @shalay20 go to coolrom.com

  • Do you know what happens if you refuse the throne?

  • It should be Malroth!

  • what if you choose not to take the throne (04:28)? Would there be any difference in the ending?

  • The SNES Malroth has Seven times the HP of the NES Malroth

1750HP SNES version vs 250HP NES version

  • MoonCross 4 is for nes, psx (only in japan), and nds

sadly I and II on snes is too easy
