Join the largest book club in Northern Arizona. All first-year NAU students are invited to read the same book and participate in conversations about it, providing them with a common experience as they begin their educational journey. NAUreads includes opportunities to participate in book club discussions with faculty and staff, author presentations, films related to the book's central themes and issues, and lectures and class discussion related to the book.
The 2009 book selection is Sonia Nazario's 'Enrique's Journey,' the astonishing true story of a Honduran boy who braves unimaginable hardship and peril to reach his mother in the United States. The timeless story recounts the unforgettable perspective of the effect of immigration on children.
